Alan Stewart

Corporate Practice Officer

Alan has worked in Executive Search since 2003, focussing on CFO hiring across Listed, Private and PE owned businesses. He previously worked at Heidrick & Struggles and was an equity partner at Blackwood, where he worked from 2010 to 2019.

He has successfully completed over 500 CFO searches in that time and remains a respected and trusted advisor to his clients and placed candidates long after searches have been completed. He is also a qualified Executive Coach, specialising in on-boarding and work motivation.

Alan played rugby with London Scottish until 2009, has an Economics degree from Strathclyde University and an MBA from London Business School. Outside of work, he is a volunteer listener for the Samaritans and President of his local rugby club.
